Plot:
The Punisher tells the story of Frank Castle (Thomas Jane),
a recent Special Forces operator who has seen plenty of dangerous
missions. Frank works for the FBI now, and after years of perilous
operations, he has taken a safe desk job. The serenity that enters
his life is short-lived however, after his wife and son are executed
for witnessing a mafia hit. With nothing left to live for, Frank
sets out after the crime syndicate responsible. He arms himself
with an arsenal of guns and other weapons, determined to implore
his own kind of justice.
The Punisher first appeared in a Marvel Spider-Man comic
in 1978. The character was first adapted for the big screen in
1991, with Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) playing the title
role.
