Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood. >>> Stupid but plenty of guts and gore for all! The traps and devices were kind of cool, it never gets old. lol The young pups will again enjoy this. I give this movie a 2/10. Ken

I actually really liked this film. Way better than any other Saw-movie by a mile. It deals with topical social issues in a rather intelligent way even if it is a tad one-sided, tackles the themes of human life-value that have only been hinted at in the previous ones, and the plot actually doesn't fall apart here. Wrote a finnish review of this over here if someone knows how to read finnish

Actually Parts 7 and 8 have already been greenlit!!! I watched this on the weekend. I gotta say it was a lot better than the last couple in the sence that it tied up a lot of loose ends created in previous entries in the series. Added a nice twist at the end that you really couldn't have seen coming in the previous movies and at the same time kept it fresh... This one got back to the roots a bit more in that it gave more details on the person being punished, why they were chosen in flashbacks instead of just having the character say "I'm a lawyer" and then have them figure it out togehter... The opening of this movie, the first time I have EVER felt nautious from watching a movie...it took be a good 5-10 minutes after the opening for my stomach to stop churning which was extremely odd as I can usually stomach anything that comes on the screen...Overall, I enjoyed it people who liked the series should love this one, but I would recommend you have watch the others before going in or you'll be lost....

Not sure how old you have to be to be considered a "young pup" but as a 26 year old, I definitely enjoyed it. I look forward to them every Halloween. I hope they keep them coming.
