Default Mutiny on the Bounty Blu-ray Contest

Mutiny on the Bounty Blu-ray Contest

Board the HMS Bounty with the ruthless Captain Bligh (Charles Laughton), his first officer Fletcher Christian (Clark Gable), and midshipman Byam (Franchot Tone). As the seafaring monster inside of Captain Bligh begins to emerge, Fletcher's will to obey starts to deteriorate. Byam is torn between his allegiance to both. As a testament to all three actors' performances, Mutiny on the Bounty marked the only time in Oscar history that three stars from the same movie were Best Actor nominees.

Special Features: Disc comes packaged inside a 32-page book filled with trivia and photos. Disc features the 1935 Short Pitcairn Island Today and a 1935 Academy Awards Newsreel. For more information on this and other releases, visit Warner Bros.

To Enter the Contest:

In a reply to this post, simply state your favorite movie or TV show that takes place on a ship or boat. The entire film doesn't have to unfold on the ship, just a significant portion. As always, there is no length requirement for your post.

Best of Luck Pirates!

Well, there are a lot of good movies that come to mind that take place on ships/boats, but...I'm going to have to pick this film. Mutiny on the Bounty is just a classic. Clark Gable is great as always and Charles Laughton is delightfully evil!

Mr. Roberts....Directed by John Ford and what a cast! Henry Fonda, Jack Lemmon, James Cagney, Ward Bond, William Powell, (his last film) and a boat load of character actors any John Ford western fan will recognize.

I was really torn between Mr. Roberts and The Caine Muntiny, what is it with these crazy ship captains anyway? But I picked Mr. Roberts because this movie is a whole helluva lot of fun.

Being a female...have to say The Love Boat.....nothing better than Gopher, Captain Steubin, and the rest of the crew and guest.
