File this under wtf?

I pulled this off Google, not sure if it's correct, but...

Ryan Reynolds to play Highlander
Ryan Reynolds has apparently been cast as the new Highlander in the remake of the 1980s fantasy action movie.

The Green Lantern star's name has been linked to the project for some weeks, but now movie blog JoBlo.com claims to have official confirmation that Ryan will play leading man Connor MacLeod, who can only be killed by being decapitated.

28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is directing the remake of the film about a Highlander who discovers he is one of "a dwindling group who wander the earth and kill each other in combat for the final prize - immortality".

Twilight's Melissa Rosenberg is writing the script for the new film, along with Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

American-born French actor Christopher Lambert played the immortal swordsman in the original 1986 film, and in 2008 his Scottish accent was voted the worst in cinema history.

Sean Connery also starred in the original film.

Yup. Unfortunately, this news is correct....I think the guy is trying way too hard to land a franchise....Hannibal King, Deadpool, Green Lantern and now Highlander....Think the guy should stick to on-offs and stop trying to land the cash cow role....

Also read today about the re-launch of the Mad Max franchise.
'Mad Max:Fury Road' will star Tom Hardy (soon to be seen as Bane in 'The Dark Knight Rising') in the role made famous by Mel Gibson. It'll also star Charlize Theron with a 'GI Jane' style crewcut!

I like the new look ED-209 for the new ROBOCOP...

I don't like the idea that it is being re-made, but at least ED-209 looks cool

No need to worry, it's a guarantee that the new Highlander will be just as horrible as the original.

First images of the new-look 'RoboCop'. Have to say I'm not impressed..

Have these people never heard the expression "if it ain't broke-don't fix it!"
