OK now i have a new problem in looking at this book that i'm using it "tabs" out a bunch of chords that it doesn't use in any songs but some of them are exactly the same
i.e. C Aug in the book (which I'm assuming just means C augmented) is this 1st string - open 2nd - 2nd finger, 1st fret 3rd - 1st finger, 1st fret 4th - 3rd finger, 2nd fret later on in that same page There is an A (with a note symbol behind it that I'm assuming means A SHARP) so A -sharp- Augmented is the same exact configuration EDIT: and apparently its also an E Aug as well! also some notes are followed by dim, and #'s they must be assuming in the book that I know what these mean....they assumed wrong HELP!

OK, for starters - Tab is usually upside down when reading, keep in mind the string order when reading a tab, some people do it upright, other upsidue down (makes one hell of a difference in the song!!! :-) )...The fingerings for the three chords are all very similar, but they are different.
C Aug E - Open B - 1st Fret G - 1st Fret D - 2nd Fret A - 3rd Fret E - Don't Play A Aug E - 1st Fret B - 2nd Fret G - 2nd Fret D - 3rd Fret A - Open E - Don't Play E Aug E - Open B - 1st Fret G - 1st Fret D - 2nd Fret A - 3rd Fret E - Open Here's a good site to bookmark, it's a lifesaver when learning chords...It has all the Dim and # there too... http://chordfind.com/ Just select the chord and it automatically appears on the top display...
