Default The Artist

The Artist

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1655442/

Very interesting. Basically, for all practical purposes, a silent film.

I would give it 4 stars for originally. They really brought off a silent film in a modern era. I think it must be hard to create a plot line and carry it off in a silent film. They did it. The plot line was good, but not amazing. If the actual plot line had been stronger, I would have given it 5 stars.

Still, very much worth seeing.

Lovely story in the papers this week about some Scousers (that's people from Liverpool for our overseas readers) who walked out of a screening of The Artist and demanded their money back because it was a black and white silent film!

Seriously

"Eeeeh mister! Giz our money buck. Dat dere fillum ain't got enny weeerds an' it's in fookin' bluck 'n' whayte!"

I apologise to any Liverpudlians on our forum. I realise I'm making a sweeping generaliseation for the sake of humour but it had to be done.

There's already a post established. Please read and you will see that I have rated this great film #1.
