Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts in the placements they're in and the people below them that are perhaps?
Not to say I don't think they're good actors-I do, but I wouldn't be putting people like Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Meryl Streep, Sidney Poitier, and Humphrey Bogart below them (to name just a few...)

I think Tom Cruise should be very high... he's worth more than the film he makes!

For me, Cruise should not even be in the top 20; he certainly does not belong about Jack Nicholson, Humphrey Bogart, Marlon Brando, James Stewart, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, James Dean, Mongomery Clift, and Henry Fonda. I would even put Tom Hanks above Tom Cruise. And probably Harrison Ford as well (he was in both the Star Wars trilogy and the Indian Jones trilogy . . . you don't get more movie star that that). Julie Roberts should be much further down the list too. And why is Jana Fonda even on this list?

Oh, and where's Charlie Chaplin?

Most of this list is out of wack, but the ones that make me cringe are the placement of Marilyn Monroe and Jimmy Stewart. Stewart should be in the top 5 at least, his career was huge, and he had such a range of movie genre's! Monroe should be towards the bottom most ppl I know don't like her and her career was fairly short lived compared to the others. Julia Roberts shouldn't have been up that high, especially above Stewart! Are you kidding me???

Hehe can you tell I like Jimmy Stewart?

I don't think these people should have made it on the list at all? What was the criteria to be included on this list? Obviously its not acting ability...

not sure why Will Smith is there I like him, love Fresh Prince, but 50 best actors? don't think so.

Yeah, part of the premise of the whole feature is that they're making a distinction between actor and "movie star," so it's all about "enjoyment" of performances over quality of performances.
