Default Cryptic movie clues

Got bored in France while reading "How to solve the Guardian Crossword", a christmas present from my mum's boyfriend, so I decided to come up with some movie-related cryptic clues. I have no idea if anyone does cryptic crosswords at all, so these may just go untouched (for a fairly good explanation of what a cryptic crossword is, go here). Also, they're probably a little unfair, because, well, I'm not very good at cryptic crosswords. Anyway, here they are.

Harold and Kumar go... Spanish, with Bogey? (10)

"Available in both pink and black? Ray Liotta's undercover cop is" tips off Steven U Seagal (9)

Silent movie actress swansong loses a horse and gets more wild (6, 9)

I do the cryptic crossword in the newspaper every weekend...so I'm game.

Harold and Kumar go... Spanish, with Bogey? (10) 'CASABLANCA'

(The full title being Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle and 'white castle' in Spanish is Casa Blanca)

Available in both pink and black? Ray Liotta's undercover cop is" tips off Steven U Seagal

This is still foxing me....

Silent movie actress swansong loses a horse and gets more wild
I thought this might be 'Gloria Swanson' ('swansong loses a horse' could be 'swansong' without the 'g' ..a horse being a 'gee-gee'..but it doesn't fit and I can't work out how you'd get 'Gloria')

Damned good idea though E.....

You're pretty close with the swansong clue, actually. It's slightly unfair: the answer is actually "Sunset Boulevard", "Silent movie actress swansong" being the definition, with the clue pointing you to Gloria Swanson, which you got, and Billy Wilder (more wild/wilder, geddit?). It's stretching things a bit, and damned clumsy, but that's what I was trying for. I'll let you stew over Ray Liotta one a bit.

Post a few of your own and I'll have a go.

EDIT: It's even more unfair, actually, since according to IMDB, Sunset Boulevard wasn't even her last movie, so the definition doesn't make sense. A noble effort, anyway.

Constructing cryptic clues isn't easy. I shall have to think on this a while.....

Incidentally..how many words am I looking for with the 'pink and black' question?

One. And I'd advise you to think about black rather than pink, since pink is a reference to a film you've probably never heard of. I don't mean that in a snide way... it's just a film you'd have very little reason to look out for.

I was just about to answer that! Too bad I'm late

Actually it really isn't unfair. I don't think they were referring to the actress' swansong, but rather "Norma Desmond's"(her character name in Sunset Boulevard). She was a silent movie star in the movie, and with time had been forgotten.

Ok..

United Nations initially before the German word around 50. Criminals or undead? (10)

50 precedes the original soundtrack and confused yobs. Schumacher or Barrie? (3,4,4)

Gangster geezers get hair merchandise and new doom wants ruler with tuns.
(4,5,3,3,7,7)

I'm bumping this coz I'd like E to have a stab at them (if no one else is going to)...and he can't get on line as often as the rest of us...

Okay... United Nations initially = UN
before the german= der
word around 50 = 50 in roman numerals is L, so it's WOR - L - D
Criminals or undead is the definition...

Underworld!

50 precedes the original soundtrack and confused yobs. Schumacher or Barrie? (3,4,4)

No idea. I'll write this on my hand and have a think about it.

Gangster geezers get hair merchandise and new doom wants ruler with tuns.

I'm guessing this is lock stock and two smoking barrells because it fits with gangster geezers, and then hair=lock and merchandise=stock. I can't see where the rest of it comes from, though.

The / L / OST / BOYS
Directed, of course, by Joel Schumaccher, with the title taken from J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan
