Tri State Horror Shows
How many of you Tri-State area members (assuming we have any other than myself) remember the good old days of late night syndicated TV horror?
By this I mean WPIX 11's (NY) Chiller Theatre with the animated hand with 6 fingers rising from the pool of blood and saying "Chill-errrrr!" as it sank back down? WNEW 5 (NY) had "Creature Feature" (not to be confused with the West Coast Bob Wilkin's show) and Channel 9 from Secaucus, NJ had "Fright Night" after Vince McMahon's then no name WWF show. These shows were in my formative years from about 1971-to 1982 (when I was 17) and then we had numerous UHF stations showing all manner of mixed horror shows and it really rounded out the bill.
