Incidentally The French were recently voted the most unpopluar nation in Europe....by the rest of Europe!!!

Bwahhahahahahaha.....thats funny. Oh btw I think I'm gonna major in French, had a lot of trouble finding an arabic major in any college, so I'll have to switch. French can be found anywhere. Still love the arabic language, so I might take some courses at a community college. Gee I pick two of the most unpopular countries....yep, sounds bout right.

Just a question. That song put out by the Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls", were they referring to the girls in the west end of London? If so, are they really as posh as the song seems to indicate?

The West End and the East End of London are (stereotypically) polar opposites. The east end is (allegedly) all working class...lower income etc where as the West End has this reputation of being where people go to party and 'West End Girls' would mean well heeled ladies..a 'bit of posh'....although the sort of women you'd be most likely to find in 'The West End' would probably be those East End girls who have 'gone up west' to party or tourists who can't speak any English!

as for the rest od Europe's opinion odf the French (or 'cheese eating surrender monkies' as they were referred to on TV the other day....)
they were described by various nationalities as being arrogant, concieted, two faced, cowardly, having bad personal hygiene, spineless, selfish....and a host of other choice words I cannot recall at present...
