Default The Big Bang Theory

So I just bought season 1 of this show the other day, and decided to give it a try. It's definitely one of the best purchases I've made in regards to a show I haven't seen yet. I think it's HYSTERICAL. I started watching it last night, and I couldn't stop.

The main characters work so well off of each other- Jim Parsons is comic gold as Sheldon Cooper- a genuis in every sense of the word, but with social skills comparable to that of a damp rag. Galecki perfectly compliments him as Leonard Hofstadter- another brilliant mind with slightly more polished social skills. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at a show, and am eager to see the rest of season 1.

Vix and I LOVE The Big Bang Theory!!! Just a top quality US sit com! Jim Parsons, as you say, is priceless as Sheldon. I looked him up on IMDb and he's had about 3 roles in films/tv shows I've not seen. I also love the character of Wolowitz..mainly for his appalling taste in clothes. It's cool they have Johnny Galecki, Laurie Metcalf (as Sheldon's mum) and Sarah Gilbert (as Leslie Winkle)..it's like they took all the really funny ones from Roseanne!!

The second season started over here in mid November and they were showing double bills each week but they got to about 12 episodes and Christmas scheduling interupted it...and it's not come back yet! They just repeating the same ones again in single episodes. As US sitcoms usually run 20+ episodes a season and normally finish on some sort of 'cliff-hanger' ,and this season didn't..I'm hoping the recent writer's strike interupted it and there should be another dozen or so episodes due really soon in Season 3 which will be like Season 2 part 2. Perhaps once the re-runs have finished? We hope so.

I thought the same thing when I saw Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert- that it was a Roseanne reunion (one of my favorite 80's sitcoms) with my favorite players.

Yea, according to imdb, there are 22 episodes to season 2, although their original air date stops being shown after january 19, 2009. Hopefully the writer's strike just put a temporary halt on it and it'll pick back up... it's definitely a show I'd hate to have cancelled just when I started getting into it!

Just recently got hooked on this show. It's the best! I'm currently on episode 11 of Season 2.

Wollowitz is the man!

Isn't he just!! I loved the ep where he said he'd been to see the Bodyworks exhibition and "..some of those skinned chicks were hot!"

One of my favorite scenes with him is when Penny insults him and he says, "Just because you said that you're not invited into my threesome. ...I'm just kidding. You can come. ... Can you bring a friend?"

The remainder of the second season of BBT has finally started to air over here...at last!! Vix and I were getting withdrawal symptoms!!

The episode where Penny gives Sheldon a napkin signed by Leonard Nimoy for Christmas was absolutely priceless!! Sheldon's reaction was just brilliant..especially his awkward 'hug'
