Hi! I hope you can help me. I am a breast cancer survivor. I was turning 43
when I was diagnosed. With the hope of my friends we started a dragon boat team on Vancouver Island Canada for breast cancer survivors. The dragon boats for breast cancer survivors started in 1996 because of studies at the University of British Columbia. Before that women were told to go home and not use there arms. Well the sport has grown and we have taken breast cancer out of the closet. Women from all across Canada us will meet in London and fly onto South Africa to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness and share the message of Hope. I do not know how far Yorkshire is from the Airport but we have a stop over for 10 hours. If at all possible we would like your help to raise breast cancer awareness in England even though our stay is short. We also fly back into London. We leave Canada on April 12/04 and Arrive on April 13/04. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated to help us raise breast cancer awareness. Look forward to hearing from you. I hope the women from Calendar girls might help. Please pass this message onto them. The statistics for breast cancer are alarming. We want to share as much information as possible. Thank you Mary Vancouver Island, Canada Last edited by klance1 : 10-02-2005 at 04:49 PM. |

I am all too confused with this post. What's the point of it and what does it have to do with Calendar Girls?
