Precious: Based on the novel Push by Sapphire
I saw the trailer today and it looks like a winner. This is about a black girl and hardship. Abused by her mother. Was raped by her father. Not many people cared about this obese, angry and illerate individual. Oh yea, she's pregnant with her second child.
I picked up the novel. Anyone read it? The film won best prize at Sundance and is headed for the NY Film Festival this month.
