The Color Purple Blu-ray Contest
Synopsis: Based on Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Color Purple was directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Whoopi Goldberg as the central character, a Southern black woman named Celie. The story spans the years from 1909 to 1949 and follows Celie's life of servitude to her brutal husband, a sharecropper named Albert (Danny Glover). Celie divulges her innermost thoughts by way of letters that she writes to her sister Nettie (Akousa Busia), but Albert hides the letters that Nettie writes back, which causes Celie to assume that her sister is dead. Eventually, Celie finds support through her daughter-in-law, the take-no-guff Sofia (Oprah Winfrey) and the glamorous Shug Avery (Margaret Avery), a local girl turned juke-joint singer. Special Features: Exclusive 40-page Book with Photos, Production Notes and More | Conversations with the Ancestors: The Color Purple from Book to Screen | A Collaboration of Spirits: Casting and Acting the Color Purple | The Color Purple: The Musical Cultivating a Classic: The Making of The Color Purple | Behind-the-Scenes and Cast-Focused Featurette Galleries | Theatrical Trailers Available on Blu-ray January 25, 2011. Glory
it's one of the only movies to ever make me cry... the scene with denzel washington getting whipped has stuck with me ever since the first time i saw it. Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman and the rest of the cast were brilliant

What? Don't eat the eggs. We put LSD in the eggs. And the water. I put LSD in the main water tank. What? But, we drank the water! Yeah! |

To Sir With Love. Sydney Poitier is fantastic in this movie where he is a black teacher to white students. Always will enjoy this classic.

Bad Day at Black Rock
Spencer Tracy shows up to a small town in order to give a Japanese-American father his dead son's war medal. He gets more than he bargained for in the seedy, dirty citizens of the town.

Snow White, hot seeing that white chic get alone with all those midgets. Guess that doesnt work because the midgets were white too. Damn, still hot though.
