I have twin 16 year old girls. You would think having girls, I would have a great connection with them. I do have a great connection, but these boks have really got us together. They and I all loe them. When they were 7, I would read chapters to them at night time. Then when they got older, they read them and we would have great conversations and we all look forward to the movies. Fun times.

It's funny, when these movies first started coming out we'd take our son to see them.....the last one that came out we saw without kids! LOL They have lost interest, but we're still hung up on the story. Hell, we've invested this much time in the Harry Potter story it'd be a shame not to see it through to the end. Have no desire to read the books, but the movies are solid most of the time...

About three years ago, we had severe flooding in my part of the UK. Myself and a friend were going to collect The Deathly Hallows book when it was released at midnight, but couldn't go because of the flooding. Unfortunately I had to go to work the next day, but my friend braved the floods and went and picked up my copy of the book for me while I was at work. Bless his cotton socks!

I was a little older than most of the original Harry Potter readers. My girlfriend in college had me bring her to Harry Potter and The Sorceror's Stone on opening night. This was my first experience of the world of Harry Potter. The scene with the drinking of the unicorn's blood in the forest was terrifying, but also hauntingly beautiful. That moment stuck with me the most, although the latest installment was my favorite of the 7 films so far.

So I had completly forgotten about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire releasing on its opening day. I decided to go see a movie, there was no advertisements, nothing. Nothing looked good, so I decided on Chicken Little (Bad choice BTW). At some point during the showing, the employees of Kerasotes Theater brought out the decorations and set up the boundries for the lines. There was already 2 people sitting in line for the midnight showing an noone watching for line cutters, so I quietly slipped myself in line, without paying mind you (this was at 6PM waiting for the midnight showing). One of the guys sitting there began talking to me, and we hit it off pretty well. We decided to sit together during the showing. Just as the opening began to roll, he took a chance and put his hand on mine, when I didnt pull away, he leaned in and kissed me... we dated for 3 years after that...
