I'd have to go with Teen-Wolf I think...seen it too many times I've lost count growing up. Not really impressed with the TV Series though...I think I liked it as a kid because of the storyline being relatable and the characters in it....that dude from the Disney movies was everywhere at the time!

An American Werewolf In London is my favorite werewolf movie because it makes it seem like being a werewolf would suck and it seems more "real" from the transformation scene which looked really painful to the wakeing up naked in the zoo and everybody being scared and shooting him. most every other movie makes it seem like being a werewolf is awesome like the ones in twilight being all big and strong and nobody was really afraid of them, and then theres the ones in underworld sure they kinda live in a sewer but some can change on will and they fight vampires. And in teen wolf where everybody cheered for him and became popular that wouldn't really happen people would be scared and try to kill him. Just like in American Werewolf in London.
So it's my favorite because in my opinion its the closest thing to what being a werewolf would be like. |

Since Teenwolf has already been taken (twice) I'll go with The Wolfman and An American Werewolf in London as a tie. Thanks for the entry.

Favorite movie/TV show involving a werewolf, eh? Well, Buffy the Vampire Slayer "involved" a werewolf in featuring the character of Oz... so yeah, that's undoubtedly got my vote. I loved that show not only because it was really clever, but also because, given that I was the same age as the characters, the developments on the show kind of mirrored my life events and explored a lot of what I was going through at the time. Minus the supernatural occurrences and monster attacks, of course.

The Company of Wolves for me - a classic, underrated movie relaying the Red Riding Hood story with plenty of good effects on show.

I like an older movie called Wolfen. Great cast and pretty decent effects for the time. Although, I am also a big fan of the Underworld series.

I too would have to go with Buffy the Vampire Slayer because Oz was one of my favorite characters on television. He started out as this average guy who became a werewolf, and instead of letting that animalistic nature just take over, as more often than not you see, he cages himself whenever there's a full moon. He just once flirts with the idea of giving in to the animal inside when he meets a fellow female werewolf named Veruca. He begins to question his own humanity and how much of him is the werewolf. There's a great line in that episode where he says,
"Veruca was right about something. The wolf is inside me all the time. And I don't know where the line is anymore, between me and it." Instead of giving into his animalistic side, he learns to channel his energy on nights of the full moon and stay a man. Only passion for the woman he loves seems to bring it out of him. I also loved how they showed the antithesis of Oz's wolfie nature in Veruca. She embraced being a werewolf. To her, it was raw, sexual power that made her superior to humans. At one point she says, "after a while, you just begin to feel sorry for everyone else." She let her werewolf side completely blanket her, and she revelled in it. |
