Messala and Ben-Hur part on bad terms and when an accident at Ben-Hur's house nearly claims the life the of the new governor, Messala unjustly points the finger at Ben-Hur and orders him to be sent to the gallows. Ben-Hur spends three years as a slave and is eventually freed. After returning home, he encounters Messala again; this time in a chariot race. Messala's chariot is armed with blades on the hubs, which allow him to literally destroy his opponents and their chariots. Will Ben-Hur be able to survive the race and emerge victorious over the man who betrayed him? What? Don't eat the eggs. We put LSD in the eggs. And the water. I put LSD in the main water tank. What? But, we drank the water! Yeah! |

I'd probably have to go with Monty Python's Life of Brian - Such a great movie, so many funny moments..."I'm Brian and so's my wife"

Does Rome the mini series count if so then that, if not then it would have to be Spartacus along with Gladiator.

Spartacus, I first saw it when I was 10 and the idea of a man just trying to get his freedom always stuck with me and the way it was shot on a massive scale before special effects makes it all the more enjoyable. It's because of this film I'm currently going to film school

And it's "The Robe". Cheesy, I know, but I remember watching it with my church's youth group and being touched by its message.

Spartacus....the movie, not the show (although the show is good too). I really like it, but I think its best attribute is the dialogue...especially between Spartacus and Varinia. Dalton Trumbo knew how to write a screenplay.
