Caligula for me too. Malcolm McDowell is great as usual.

It's simple story of faith and redemption set against the canvas of Biblical history makes it the greatest "intimate epic" of all time... Not to mention stellar musical score, lush cinematography and one of the greatest performances of all time by the late Charlton Heston.

The Fall Of The Roman Empire. It's a big screen epic like Ben - Hur

The Ben Hur chariot scene in the arena is the best ever. Just think they used no computers to assist in production. Another Charlton Heston great performance.

Ernest Goes To Rome. I'm not sure if this is an actual movie or I just dreamt it, but man it was cool.

Julius Caesar.
A deserved 8/10 film, probably 8.5 or 9/10 had they been a little more ambitious with the cinematography and directing of the larger scale scenes. Some of it felt a little leaden. Fantastic film though, with a stellar cast. |
