Frozen worlds. Was in Austria and was able to climb one of the glaciers. Fantastic coolness.

The closest I've come was visiting the Hawaiian island O'ahu. The ocean was so beautiful...yet dangerous. I remember standing on a cliff with my parents looking down at the water...it was so clear and blue...we could see the fish swimming in the ocean. I also almost drowned on that vacation.

I grew up in Southern California. Swimming in the ocean was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. One of my proudest moments was when I swam out past the pier, which was a real mark of courage and daring. But the memory that came to mind when I read your question was a beach party my mom threw for my friends at the end of 5th grade. (Brave woman, taking a dozen ten year-olds to the beach!) I was dragged under by a rip tide, and my friend Steve noticed and pulled me to the surface. He may have been a 10 year old kid, on the short side, but to me he was a hero.

My most memorable moment in the great outdoors took place in a forest. Shooting my first deer, which was a 10-pt buck.

Most memorable outdoor experience was probably taking my kids camping for the first time....they loved it.

when i used to live in India, there are always a lot of lakes and stuff. so we would always go there and hang out. i was pretty little at that time and i remember being near a small lake with some of my cousins and i remember trying to get across on some stone steps and i accidently sliped and fell in the water. it was a bit cold. lol, and when i got out, i started smelling cause the lake wasn't very clean! lol. thats one of the memories i remember and i really want to make more memories like this. i am mean i love it, i really want to go camping with my friends. thanks!

When I was in High School we took a trip to the Galapagos Islands and before we could get there we were traveling down the Amazon river to meet a tribe of natives and stay with them for the night but our guide ended up taking us down the wrong tributary and for a couple of hours and he finally figured it out when we saw some people fishing and the told us. It ended up being about a 4 hour journey to get to the Natives village after that but it was well worth it.

This boy back then who is now my husband brought me to a picnic at the Biak na Bato in the Philippines. It was amazing, clear running water, trees, hanging bridge, stone steps and a bat cave. He was trying to be all sweet and knowledgeable because it was my first time to go there. He kept telling me to make sure I do not go all the way inside the cave because the bats dropping might drop on me. I was careful, unfortunately for him he got a handful of bat droppings trying to show me which part of the cave to go to. It was so funny

I know in some areas Bald Eagles are common, but when I was 13, my Dad took me fishing and we spotted the first Bald Eagle i had ever seen flying over the lake and returning to her nest atop a telephone pole on a ridge in the distance.
