Fred Potts the producer of Memoirs of a Vampire and Final Twist of Fate starring William Sanderson will be filming his latest movie The Forgotten Door in Auckland in 2013.

Directed by Fred Potts and produced by Auckland actress Jacqui Gilbert known for her roles in the TV show Shortland Street and the movie Compound. The Forgotten Door is about a 14-year old Maori girl named Puhi who is abused and cast out by her family and friends, a girl who finds another world to escape to during her darkest hours.

The cast includes 14 year old Ngakorowai Mclean-Drews who plays the lead role Puhi. Twelve year old Te Atatu Harmer-Matairangi who plays Roimata. Ayden Malone who plays Maaka and Alyssha Maynard who plays Ngaire. Kyra Kenworthy, Aryan Coleman, Claudia Robinson, Paige Ngatai, Zana Jex-Blake, Jenna Tournier and Nick Tupara.

Warren Philp has been cast in the role of The Preacher Man.
