Default Catalog Your DVDs - New Forum Feature

Hey everyone,

I know that I promised a new forum feature a few weeks ago, and as any web project goes, it sort of went past schedule. I'm glad to finally say that I've finished the beta version of the online dvd catalog program, which I've released today.

DVD Catalog Main Page (learn more here)

The Online DVD Catalog lets users not only catalog their DVD collections online, but they can also add related video clips from YouTube and Google Video (more video sources will likely be supported in the future). You can give each video a "thumbs up" if you like it and/or leave a comment. You can browse my collection to get the idea.

About the DVD Catalog Program:
I tested the Catalog exstensively, but I'm sure that there will be issues and questions that come up. It seems pretty easy to browse, with three different display view options, (click BIG to see bigger images, etc...). You can also print your DVD collection from "printer friendly" versions. You can also mark your favorites and keep track of which DVDs are on loan.

**Please Use This Thread to Ask Questions and to Talk About the DVD Catalog Program. I'll check back here regularly.**

First, let me address some known issues that you may run into.

1. Region 1 and Region 2 Support - I know that we have a decent amount of users on here from other countries who own non-Region 1 DVDs. This is why I added support for the UK (Region 2). You can select Region 2 in the drop down near the search bar on any DVD collection page.

2. I Can't Find a Title - This shouldn't happen very often, but you may notice that for titles which are only made up of three or four letters, the DVD you're looking for doesn't turn up in the search results. Instead, try searching the actors name from the movie, or use the url below and replace the text in bold with the Amazon.com product number (ASIN) of the DVD.

Or, post to this thread and I'll send you the right link.

Over the next few weeks or so, I'll be working to integrate the DVD Collections further into the forums.

Give me some Feedback...

Thanks,
klance1

Internet Explorer should be working fine.

As for Firefox, I am aware of the redirection problem and I'll begin working on a fix shortly. I'll post back here once I figure out the problem.

I added a button on the top right of the main forum page. That might not be the final version of the button, but I wanted to get something there for now.
