Loved the movie, had some issues with it but overall was definitely worth it. Caught this at the drive-in over the weekend. It followed the "Knightfall" storyline but had some twists so the diehards didn't know how it would end up. Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway were great in it. Tom Hardy was absolutely jacked as Bane. The action scenes were very intense and thrilling. But, it had more depth than just action. and for my geek out moment of the movie is when Bane does the backbreaker to Batman and throws Batman's broken mask aside.
The things I think people will have the most problem with this movie are: 1. This movie is not like "The Dark Knight" where that movie had so much action going on and this one is more of a character piece. 2. Its a slow paced movie sitting nearly at 3 hours the movie's plot isn't as fast as the previous entry. It travels at a slow methodical pace but to me thats because this is more of a character piece imo and it fits. 3. Less Chaotic villain. Where the joker was chaos itself and pretty much the complete opposite of Batman. Bane is more calculated and more motive driven which will probably bore some people. 4. This was my gripe for this movie. If you coudn't stand Christian Bale's growling Batman voice well in this you get 2 bad voices. Bale does the usual growling batman mouth wide open after every sentence routine. But Bane's voice is absolutely terrible, obviously dubbed in editing it overrides anything going on in whatever scene he is talking in. plus it sounds like a three way between Darth Vader, Sean Connery, and Buffalo Bill from "Silence of the Lambs" yikes. Final Verdict: Weaker than the first 2 but still a really good movie. 8/10

NICE! as far as the movie goes I can appreciate the fact that Christopher Nolan did not attempt to just tell the same story 3 different times. 3 movies. 3 different types of stories. Unfortunately now this movie will forever be entwined with a psychotic and murderous rampage

What? Don't eat the eggs. We put LSD in the eggs. And the water. I put LSD in the main water tank. What? But, we drank the water! Yeah! |

Bane reminded me so much of The Humongous from Road Warrior, except I could understand him a bit better.
We watched The Dark Knight Rises last night, it kept my interest. Overall I really enjoyed it, but I am getting tired of Bale's Batman. Does anybody know when The Nightwing movie is going to start shooting !?!
