Be Cool
Saw it last Saturday and already wrote this review once, but I'll give it another go, although I'm trying desperately to forget the experience. Went to an 11:30 am showing, there were 5 of us in the Theater and we were all alone. I'm sure word had already gotten out about the movie, in our neighborhood but somebody forgot to tell 5 of us. There were a few good things, The H was busy, so I went by myself, that means I was only out $6.50. I wasn't wearing a watch, another good thing, or I would have spent most of the time looking at it, but come to think of it, that probably would have been more entertaining. John Travolta and Uma Thurman did the hottest dance number together, a Bossa Nova, I had to run to the Lobby and splash cold water on my face to cool myself down. And also that helped keep me awake through the rest of the movie. This is no lie, I nodded out several times....Well until the dance number. Actually I really enjoyed The Rock as Vince Vaughn's gay bodyguard, and let me tell you you haven't lived until you see Harvey Keitel rap... I though John Travolta looked kind of embarassed during most of the movie. I can't believe Elmore Leonard's novel did little more than supply the title. Speaking of which they sound have called it. Be Wary Wait for the DVD...

Geez girl, you must have really been annoyed with this movie, as I remember it being the last post of yours I read on the old forum... needless to say, I don't think I'll be rushing out to see it in the theatre after the picture you've painted of it...

Boy ya got that right baby girl, I was so jazzed to see it, could not have been more dissapointed if I tried.
As the 5 of us were leaving the Theater, there was some talk of forming a support group....or atleast going for coffee so we could all safely drive home.

Yea, I understand... after I went to see The Haunting, everyone walked out of the theatre like, what the hell did we just watch...
It's too bad because I really liked Get Shorty and was looking forward to this follow-up |

I thought it was a very entertaining and funny movie.... I think anyone who hasn't seen it, should give it a chance and make up their own mind

![]() But yea, I hardly remember Get Shorty... But I will remember "Be Cool" if only for the Rock funny lines, and the similarities between it and Pulp Fiction ![]() |

I'll see it just for the re-uniting of Travolta and Thurman. My favourite scene in Pulp Fiction was their dance together and the way Oz described it, I can't wait to see their new dance off.

I quite enjoyed 'Get Shorty' and was looking forward to 'Be Cool'....but I trust Ozma's judgement (coz we have a lot in common and have very similar tastes) so I think I'll wait for the DVD on this one....
