A struggling salesman (Will Smith) takes custody of his son (Jaden Smith) as he's poised to begin a life-changing professional endeavor. That of course is the shortened version of the movie. I loved this movie and Will Smith deserves a nod for Oscar. A feel good movie, just in time for Christmas. I give this movie a 7.5 Ken

I saw this over the weekend and wasn't really impressed. Chris's story of the triumph of single dadness over all obstacles is certainly an inspirational one, but it was just padded with way too much fluff for me.

Another movie I was supremely late to see (finally rented it). I'm surprised more of our cast didn't see and comment on it.
Because it's been out for so long, I won't comment too much. This movie was riveting from beginning to end. It pulls you into the story so hard that, by the end of it, you feel like a putz for complaining about anything compared to the strife this guy had to endure. Both Will and his son are phenomenal in this as are all the supporting actors and actresses. The soundtrack is fantastic (both for popular songs and the film score) and really adds to the color of the film. This is one I'll be purchasing and watching over and over again. The same effect movies like Family Man and Pay It Forward had for me. Wonderful movie with the highest recommendation.

The story itself was fantastic and the movie itself was good. I really enjoyed the movie and the message it gave, I saw in theatres when it first came out. If you are a softy then you will cry from start to finish, my girlfriend cried non stop.

It was a big warm fuzzy--that's for sure.
