Default The Prestige

The trailer for Christopher Nolan's latest, The Prestige has been put up. Based on Christopher Priest's 1996 novel, Bale and Jackman play rival magicians in turn-of-the-century London who battle each other for trade secrets. The rivalry is so intense that it turns them into murderers.
It's looking pretty good, and it's nice to see Bale adopt a more natural accent...
Also, cimematographer Wally Pfister joins Nolan again, so expect good things

gosh David Bowie is playing Nikola Telsa in it, incase somebody doesn't know who he was, he was a genius inventor and a rival of Edison, he is credited with the invention of Radio amoung other things.

Cast looks great. Costumes, sets; it all looks very lavish! Story sound interesting as well, very different. I can't recall ever reading about/seeing a movie of this topic. I may just go to the theatres for this one. I'd be very surprised if it was a let down.

I have been fascinated by him for many years and read quite a bit about him.. particularly the HAARP project, which really goes back to Telsa's work, guess I'm getting off track here. More about Telsa, if anybody else is interested. Gee somebody ought to make a movie just about him.

Anyhoo the movie looks really good...

Saw the trailer at the theater this weekend. Looks like a good 'un.

Looks interesting. There's a somewhat similar movie coming out at around the same time with Ed Norton and Paul Giametti; I wonder if this is going to cause either one trouble at the box office.

Why the HELL does Hollywood DO that?!? It's like the whole Sixth Sense/ Stir of Echoes thing. Well, given the cast of both, as well as the past record of movies for both directors, I'll probably end up seeing both. Prestige looks amazing.

For me, my taste in actors and directors, I am more excited about The Prestige and will most likely make a trip to the theater for it when it comes out.
