Well..I think the 'Missing Reel' is a stroke of genuis from Rodriguez. Any inconsistencies in the plot or explanations required he can say "It was explained in the missing reel"

But Yes, you're quite right... there's no obvious way for her to fire the gun..and , as in one scene, there's no way that firing the rocket launcher straight into the ground could catapault her backwards over a wall to escape danger..it would simply blow her up..but hey!! I wasn't looking for nits to pick..I was enjoying the film too much!

"firing the rocket launcher straight into the ground could catapault her backwards over a wall to escape danger" --- WTF? You see, I know its only entertainment but I cant watch those movies. lol Like "Shoot em Up", another good example. All the Die Hard movies -- Bruce would of been killed at least 42 times. Ken

But if he was killed at the first attempt...we'd have no film! It's called the willing suspension of disbelief...

I have 'Shoot 'Em Up' on order...ridiculously OTT choreographed gunplay coupled to pounding heavy metal rock music and snappy one liners...sometimes..just sometimes..that (and maybe a couple of beers/joints before hand) is all I require to entertain me!

"I have 'Shoot 'Em Up' on order" --- You're out to kill me, I know it. What about Atonement, Rendition, Dan in Real Life & Little Miss Sunshine? THOSE are damn good films but I am consistent. To each his own. Thats a good question for myself. What movies have I been entertained by? I'm not real sure? lol Ken

I'm sure they are all very well made films..but none of them 'call out to me'.
Someone may put Atonement on DVD and I might watch it and enjoy it..but I wouldn't go see it/rent it of my own choosing. I can't afford to see every film released and I don't have time to watch them all on DVD so I chose to see/rent the ones I think I will probably enjoy. Mostly I do enjoy them ..sometimes I'm disappointed.

I'd love to do what you do often and go see two films in a day several times a week..but I simply don't have that much spare time or cash (as I've pointed out before British cinema tickets are ridiculously expensive compared to US prices)

But as I've said before....if we all liked the same films this forum would be redundant

"if we all liked the same films this forum would be redundant" --- BINGO. Question, where I live (states) its around $8 for admission. I'm not sure how to convert that but is it close to what you pay? I'm curious about prices in other countries. Ken

@Tappy -- what movie is that girl in, from your picture? She looks wasted or on something? Ken
