Batman Begins, Kingdom of Heaven, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are the ones I'm looking forward to.

I've been dreading this.....I was a huge fan of the radio series and the BBC's (albeit cheap) production back in the 80's..ever since I've heard that Mos Def was to be Ford Prefect I've feared that it would be 'Hollywood-ized'.
However the trailer that someone posted a link to in the trailer music section has changed my mind completely. I was wary of who they could possibly get to do the voice of The Book as the late Peter Jones (IMO) would be irreplacable... However they have got Stephen Fry and I cannot think of anyone more suited to the task. The clip of Marvin (voiced by Alan Rickman) looks and sounds spot on. It's all coming together and I think, Mos Def notwithstanding, it's going to be really good!

Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry you say?
Ok, I admit to looking forward to this... Didn't Fry do one of the audio books for the hitchikers? Oh, the teaser add for Hitchhikers I like. I like a lot. Lovely use of Louis Armstrong's A Wonderful World... ![]()

I still can't get over the genius of casting Bill Bailey as the sperm whale.

I really don't know if i'll be able to take any more of Bloom. Though, he seems to be doing a bit of a Di Caprio, working with both Ridley Scott and Cameron Crowe... they must see somthing in him! |

Jarhead. Sam Mendes Directs, expect a good score from Thomas Newman and great Cinematography... though i don't know who'll take the place of Conrad Hall. Perhaps his son?
