Loved it, but don't quite understand why Javier Bardem is everyone's focus. Yes, he did a great job with the character, yes he was creepy, but was it really so fantastic that everyone ignores the other actors?

Though her part was relatively small, Kelly Macdonald did a great job. And Josh Brolin, who played Llewelyn, was fantastic!

***Spoilers below***

There was an overwhelming "aww...what? that's all?" in the theatre at the end of the movie, but I thought the end stuited the style of the film. People need to look at it more objectively.

"People need to look at it more objectively." --- So only the people who connect with their inner soul can appreciate the ending? I thought the ending sucked big time. Is an ending to a movie suppose to be a puzzle or a HIDDEN message for us to seek out? Ken

People want a hollywood ending, but that movie was far from the sort of movie that should have a hollywood ending (in other words, satisfies the audience's desire for conclusion). It really did suit the film as a whole.

How would you have ended the movie? You say it sucked, but I'm just curious how and why?

I have not seen it since around 11-25. You even said that your audience (as well as mine) was like "what the heck"? So they are ALL wrong or should of looked at it more 'objectively'? My point or question is *WHY* cant we enjoy a reasonable ending to any movie without TRYING to figure out whats what? Same thing with the ending of Lost in Translation. He wispers something in the womans ear and we are suppose to think "brilliant, absolutely brilliant"! LOL Come on. I think the ending to a movie mostly (NOT all) determines how good it is. I could ask the question in reverse. How many movies can you think of where the movie was terrible BUT the ending was good? Ken

Just about every crappy movie I have ever seen has had a good ending, because then I knew it was over and didn't have to suffer anymore, so in that sense they were good endings.

Ok never mind.

I never said they were wrong. I also never said that it was a "good" ending. Rather, that it fit the movie. What were you left guessing at? It was quite clear what happened to everyone, imo.

All I meant by objectively, was that maybe the end shouldn't be judged so quickly. An ending should work with the rest of the film, not break from the whole feel of the movie.

What would you have changed about the ending? And please don't take that question as me trying to provoke anything, it's just plain, simple curiosity and conversation/debate.

I'm with Silver on this one. I thought the ending fit perfectly for the type of movie this was. It also stayed true to the book.

I think this movie was so great that when it ended people weren't expecting it. They wanted more. But if you had actually paid attention to the scene at the end I think it was a very suitable ending.

This was just released over here and was the first film i'd seen at the cinema this year. I thought is was outstanding and I'm glad I held on to see this first. I think Javier Bardem deserves credit for making Chigurh the most terrifying character I've seen on the big screen since for a while. Not much more I can add to what's already been said, but regarding the ending: Though I've not read the book, nor do I agree that the ending really suited the Chigurh/Moss element of the story, I have to say that it got under my skin a lot more than a conventional ending would have.

Also, I was looking forward to Sweeney Todd, but after seeing the trailer, I'm rather disinclined to to see it now. Shame really...
