Default crappy spoof movies

I'm sick of seeing advertisements for these. They are not funny at all!

for the most part please leave this kind of film to Mel Brooks and Monty Python.

There are a few other winners in there but they are sparce.

here is a list of spoof movies (most are decent) and what they did at the box office

A bizarre branch-off of the spoof is what Will Ferrell seems to be doing with his time these days. He picks a sport, and makes a spoof movie based all around it.

I predict a badminton movie from him soon. Or possibly curling.

I agree it is getting really old, NASCAR, Figure Skating, Basketball, how about Bowling next, that would be pretty boring.

We just had Balls of Fury, not Will of course, but what a clunker that was.

I just watched Balls of Fury the other night, it was really terrible. We turned it off before it was over.

someone just pointed out something to me...

The things that mel brooks spoofed were legendary and stood the test of time first....

brooks spoofed movies like frankenstein and star wars

this sh!t thats coming out right now isn't doing that

now these crapshooters are spoofing Napolean Dynamite and jennifer lopez movies

yea, that's why Mel & Monty's stiff will stand the test of time-people can relate the material to a classic movie. You start spoofing crap movies that people 20 years from now will (thankfully) not know or remember, and the spoof of it (hopefully) will die with it. So we can rest in the knowledge that even though a lot of his stuff is cinematic vomit (Ferrell), it will hopefully be flushed with passing time
