Default Winter Wonderland

Looking out of my window, I see the first flowers of Spring beginning to poke their wee heads tentatively above the parapet. So I thought of a game that would say a fitting farewell to the Season that we in the Northern Hemisphere have all now (I sincerely hope) put behind us.

The theme is: Winter Landscapes.

I'm thinking of films which have significant scenes where snow is either falling or lying on the ground. Ice of course is also allowed if it forms a significant part of the background. (You'll see why I stipulate that in a moment.)

As ever, no TV films or sequels, and 24 post-free hours renders the last poster the champeen.

Opening with: Alexander Nevsky: Sergei Eisenstein's great historical film with its unforgettable Battle On The Ice sequence.

sequels or remakes

No remakes!? That's a new one!

So if I was to say Batman Begins..is that counted as a re-make? Or as seperate from the original franchise?

Oh my ears and whiskers! I thought that was the rule. What naughty night-tripping fairy can have whispered that into my ear?

OK, I'll edit my post and you just indulge yourself with all the remakes you choose.
