Again I didn't know what to title it but I thought i'd try get these true stories threads working. Funny fact actually my friend's mother had an encounter with Frank. Supposedly he did a lecture on banking or bank fraud. I can't really remember. Thats so intenese. By any chance did anyone else have an encounter with him? Lol being a con ain't too bad.

I quite liked this movie. I think Dicaprio was good in it, as was Christopher Walken. Also the music in it is great, it is such a catchy tune and always gets into my head. As for being a con well it certainly worked out for Frank considering that he gets paid millions by banks and probably makes more money now than when he did as a con.

I thought it was entertaining too. Here is the original made in 1961 with Tony Curtis..

Hmmm, didn't know it was a remake. Cool, I always like it when they do a good job remaking something.

Maybe I should correct that I hate the idea of a movie being remade and I usually try to avoid them as much as possible. I just don't like the fact that you're watching a movie enjoying it not even realizing its a remake. They barely ever give credit to the original and people watch the movie thinking that this is original when really its a remake. And ten bucks says the original is better. Have you seen any remakes that you've liked more than original?

The Great Impostor was made in 1961. Catch Me If You Can begins the story of Frank Abagnale's life in 1963, when he was 16. So I think that they are 2 different films.
