Can you believe this film won an Academy Award in 2004, yet it's JUST coming out on DVD?
I got a chance to see it, and wow - this really is a great film. Poetic, touching, and the acting is phenomenal. It's nice to see Ron Perlman play such a noble character, and the kid is incredible. It's amazing how a story of two brothers, while seemingly a small story in itself, can do a better job portraying the tragedy of war than most big-budget World War 2 movies. I don't know when it's coming out in stores; I know you can order it on the website... let's see... http://www.cineville.com I highly recommend it. Very good film. |
