Yes that sounds like me, only it is grayed out, but everything is there...well except me.

I have experienced some of these issues with the chat room myself, such as the room logging me in as a guest. This sometimes happens to me if I have more than one copy of the chat page open at the same time. Unfortunately, I did not write this software. It belongs to Meebo, a company that I partnered with who offered me an API to integrate the chat room into the forums. I have also noticed that it can take some time to load the avatars too. Hopefully, they will improve their software so that these issues are resolved.

I haven't seen the whiteout issue, but it is possible that employers might be blocking the room from loading. In any case, I'm glad that everyone is checking it out, posting vids, etc.

It works like a charm for me on my home computer.

Hopefully the problem will straighten itself out for Byron. I rather suspect it has something to do with his computer, I logged in as him from my computer and it worked fine, his avatar came up and I even made a few comments.

Yah..it works fine on my home PC...not sure about that YouTube screen, though..I'd rather have a larger space for text. It seems all scrunched up and tiny..unless I'm missing something and I can just click the screen closed and haven't realised it yet?

I agree with you Charlie, a larger text window would be nice. I didn't see a way to close the YouTube sreen either, so either we are both missing something or you can't do it.

As some of you may have noticed, I made a few executive changes in the chat room. I spent a half hour or so trying to figure out how to resize just the chat window. Well, I came to realize that Meebo (the company who hosts the room) does not offer a method to do this yet (I'll get in touch with them today to verify my findings).

As I prepared the room page last week, I initially decided not to go with the video feature. Sometimes the bells and whistles can drown out the main purpose of the page, which is to function efficiently as a chat room. However, after loading in a couple videos, I thought I'd give it a try. I know that some of you may have liked this. I kinda did too, but I agree that its window was so large, that it forced the chat window to be too small.

Basically, I'm going to try to find a solution to this with Meebo. I know that they offer free rooms that allow you to stretch and resize all of the windows, yet this doesn't seem to be available with the developers api.
