Default Rewatchable factor

I can watch action, comedy and horror flicks 100 times over

Whodunit's and other mystery twist ending-movies are amazing movies, but once the twist ending/killer comes out the suprise is forever gone. there are only a select few movies that i would say have a high "rewatch factor" out of these goneras....

first i want your opinion on good movies with a low "rewatch factor"

then of course give me a timeless, seen-it-a-bazillion-times one

I enjoyed the 6th sense....once. after that its pointless to watch again. most people might even say it was pointless to watch the first time but sue me

seen-it-a-bazillion-times: The Usual Suspects....and i know i aint the only one here

I am sure some will come to me later, but I can't think of a movie that I consider good that I can't rewatch over and over. Even The Sixth Sense I have seen a couple of times.

Movies with twist or surprise ending, that doesn't matter to me if I love the movie.
A list of rewatchable movies to the point of being redicules: Well jeez I could go on all day. These are movies where everything just works for me, the actors, the story, the sets, the soundtrack, the cinematography, the humor, they just speak to me. My husband and I both can sit there and recite the dialoge right back to each other.

Murder My Sweet
The Third Man
A Dirty Shame
Double Indemnity
Burn After Reading
Undercover Blues
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Miller's Crossing
Evil Under The Sun
Death On The Nile
Perfume
The Lady From Shanghai
Austin Powers
all 3 of the movies

I find that movies with twist endings deserve at least a second watch. You tend to notice tons of subtle hints along the way on the second viewing that you surely missed on the first time around....

There aren't many movies I would classify as not re-watchable but the ones that do come to mind would be...

Leaving Las Vegas would be at the top of the list...
Fight Club
Lady in the Water was probably the only Shamalan movie I found no desire to re-watch...
The Mexican

Fargo & Sin City I enjoyed them, but had a hard time rewatching them...

As far as re-watchable movies go...I watch movies for their entertainment value. Most of the movies on this list don't have a serious tone to them, but that's what makes them so re-watchable. Don't get me wrong, I love Drama and more serious movies as well, just they don't come to mind when I think of movies I can watch over and over again...

This is Spinal Tap
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
Drop Dead Fred

Any action movie starring Stallone or Seagal...(Rocky and Rambo being at the top Cobra I find very re-watchable too)
Star Wars Original Trilogy
Indiana Jones Original Trilogy
Clockwise
Forrest Gump
Shawshank Redemption
Gremlins
Jurassic Parks
Dumb and Dumber
Gran Torino
Hellraisers, Nightmare on Elm Streets
Goodfellas

*cough*The Notebook*cough*
The Birds
Heat
Iron Man
Burton & Nolan Batman movies
X-Men Movies
Anything in the Alien, Predator, AVP Series...
Anythign in the Terminator series...
Punishers
(all 3 of them I find re-watchable)
Anything Directed by John Carpenter or Kevin Smith...

This list could go on for a while, with the DVDs I own if I feel I can't or won't watch it again I sell it...I was raised on most of the movies above which is probably why I can watch them over and over....

Oh yeah great list Paul, oh yeah nobody wants to watch depressing sh!t more than once. I do not care for poignant human drama. I get plenty of that in real life, don't need or want to watch movies about it.

Thanks Ozma, my thoughts exactly!!! It's all about escaping reality for me...(forgot to add A Fish Called Wanda which is one of my favourite comedies)

I can watch almost any movie that i like again, if i liked it then i would like to watch it more than once. It doesn't make sense to me why if you liked a movie why wouldn't you watch it again.

Well it is you don't listen to songs you don't like but when you hear a song you like you want to hear it again right???????
