If you are familiar with the TV show from MTV, this was just an extended and more intense version of that. Basically, Johnny Knoxville and his fearless crew, which included Steve-O, Dave England, and a handful of other idiots, did a bunch of things that you should never try at home.

Like the TV show, the movie played out in short, titled skits, and it featured such insane stunts as Johnny Knoxville getting shot in the stomach with a small beanbag from a shotgun, which is used by task forces to paralyze an enemy. Other acts of insanity included certain members of the cast giving each other paper cuts between their toes and fingers.

Perhaps the most humorous element of the movie was when one of the characters surprised his mother with a huge crocodile awaiting her on the kitchen floor. Once again, things that you should never do at home.

"Jackass: The Movie" was enjoyable for what it was. People who don't find humor in the idea of watching people inflict pain on one another or oneself may be less receptive to the film's antics. However, if you've had the urge to jump a golf cart in and out of a sand trap, and if you've ever wondered what yellow snow tasted like (or if you'd think that it would be funny to see someone taste it) then this film is for you.
