Plot: There once was a an old woman named Matilda Dixon who lived in the town of Darkness Falls over one hundred years ago. All of the children loved Matilda. Whenever they lost a tooth, they would bring it to her, and she would give them a coin. After Matilda's face was horribly burned in a house fire, she wore a porcelain mask to conceal her horrible scarring, which was sensitive to the light.

Then, when two young children went to Matilda's and did not return, the townspeople called Matilda a murderer and they hanged her in the light. Soon after, the two young children were found to be okay, and the town tried to then conceal its horrible secret.

Over a century later, when Kyle (Chaney Kley) was a young boy, he saw the porcelain-masked woman, known through town lore as the Tooth Fairy. She appeared to him after he lost his last baby tooth. Now, years later, after being considered crazy by everyone in the town except for his childhood girlfriend, Caitlin (Emma Caulfield), and her younger brother, Kyle must again face the demon that has come back to take Caitlin's little brother.

In the theater watching "Darkness Falls," I couldn't remember the last time that I had heard so many people scream in a movie theater. My peripheral vision caught more than half the theater flinching in their seats before the end of nearly every scene. At the end of the movie, girlfriends and boyfriends walked out embarrassed over their lack of restrain in front of one another. I left feeling a sense of satisfaction. Finally, a horror movie that worked...READ THE FULL REVIEW
